A handsome couple in the Memorial area wanted to know how to set up a vegetable garden in their large backyard and had a few guys on site that could do the build-out. They entertain here, so I thought cedar boxes at 2′ high would be great when they have company. Here’s the result. I think it’s beautiful. Especially with that tropical/wild backdrop. Mmm.
Note: One amendment that really helped these gardens – Solaris Ag’s worm castings. They’re produced here in Houston with Houston’s own food waste, and the finished product really does work like a charm. It’s stocked at most local garden supply stores, or you can buy/find out more at http://solaris-ag.com/.
